Return of the Kākā
Probably the best perk of being able to work from home is the view out of my window sill office out on to a massive pohutukawa tree. While I've lived here for over 12 years, I never really noticed the birds that would visit here until I started working from home.
It's taken a while to get a really good shot of one of the Kākā that seem to come visit the tree once a week. There are two of them and they visit alone or as a couple, but tend to stay up in the higher branches on the far side of the tree, which makes getting a good photo of them tough. Luckily today, one of them came right up close to my office and stayed in the same place long enough for me to grab the camera and get my best shots of him so far.
