Can you beat Wellington has a new home

A few weeks ago someone posted Can You Beat Wellington to the Wellington subreddit. It didn't exactly go viral, but it got a solid spike in traffic that day, and since then there's been a steady trickle of people visiting and sharing it daily, especially whenever Wellington turns on a good day.

So now felt like the right time to move it off a subdomain of this blog and onto its own big boy domain.

Without further ado, I introduce: canyoubeatwellington.nz.

Redirects are in place, so old links will still work, but the new domain looks more professional and should be a lot easier to remember and share.

I've also been reworking the "quips" the site uses to describe the weather, they're far more varied than before. They now factor in things like feels-like temperature and whether it's actually snowing (added after this week's surprise snow), plus a few easter eggs for the days that go well beyond a good day and become a great one.
